Our Team

Tayla

Dental Assistant

Tayla has been us for over 3 years and enjoys spending her days (and nights if we worked nights !) here.

Ask her what most memorable thing at work is and she will be quick to say that it is to make every dental experience as positive and exciting as possible for the children that she sees here and to watch all the “smiling faces”.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. One of the best things about Tayla is that she is always thinking of how to make the weekends fun for her own children. If you were ever to run out if ideas just ask her! From the beach to the bush to just anything outdoors she is always up to something fun with her family on the weekends.

Make every dental experience as positive and exciting as possible for the children that she sees here and to watch all the “smiling faces”.

Kayla

Dental Assistant

Kayla is one of our newest members. She is an asset to the team helping us out when we are short.

“I really enjoy being a part of the team here for the community the workplace has created and positive attitudes everyone has. It is great to work with our specialists to help make dental visits more calm and fun. Along the way I enjoy interacting our patients, watching them overcome fears and leaving with smiles!”

Away from work Kayla dons her steel cap boots and farm wear, working with machinery and maintaining our hobby farm. Although I love all animals my fur child Duke the Bulldog is my favourite!

I enjoy interacting our patients, watching them overcome fears and leaving with smiles!

Sherelle

Receptionist

Sherelle is more than just another familiar face at reception. She has been with us for over 5 years now. Her favourite part of the role has always been getting to know the patients, their families and their stories.

Sherelle says:

“Watching our children grow, with us has been a treat. The most rewarding part of my role here is seeing children walk in the door with such anxiety & fear associated with coming to the dentist. They’re often too scared to even sit in the dental chair when the first come to see us. When they come to see our specialists & team they slowly start to build up their confidence & lose that fear associated with coming to the dentist. I love seeing them bounce back through the doors & into the dental chair so eager for their next visit. Knowing we made a difference to a child & helped to ease their fears & anxieties is such a great feeling. I love that families WANT to come back to us”.

Outside of work, Sherelle is a proud soccer mum and cheering on her soccer mad sons. When it isn’t soccer season she is travelling to the South Coast to her family’s caravan enjoying the days swimming, fishing and enjoying the sun.

Knowing we made a difference to a child & helped to ease their fears & anxieties is such a great feeling. I love that families WANT to come back to us.

Laura

Receptionist

Laura is one of our receptionists that occasionally helps our specialists during procedures if we are short.

Laura says:

“I love being apart of a team such as MPD, assisting parents and patients in making a process which can be rather daunting seamless as possible. Taking what can be seen as an undesirable exercise and turning it into a positive and fun experience for all involved. Watching the overall development of confidence in children of all ages and experiencing their own personal growth is definitely the most rewarding part on my job.”

When laura is not at work you will find her with a horse. Her weekends mostly consist of showjumping (Laura calls this jumping coloured poles) or visiting her family in the Hunter Valley and hanging on boats in the local rivers or dams.

Watching the overall development of confidence in children of all ages and experiencing their own personal growth is definitely the most rewarding part on my job.
