Macarthur Paediatric Dentistry

Macarthur Paediatric Dentistry is the first specialist paediatric practice to be established around the Macarthur region of Sydney. We are a practice that offer specialist dentistry in a relaxed, non-threatening environment.

Our purpose is driven by a desire to make the dental visit a positive experience for every child. This may involve using pharmacological methods such as happy gas or general anaesthesia to provide optimal and comprehensive care for your child.

We commonly see:

New born babies or very young children with oral pathology
Children with special needs or medical conditions
Children with extreme anxiety regarding dental treatment
Children and young adults with dental trauma
Dental caries (Decay)
Dental anomalies (Missing teeth, oddly shaped teeth or extra teeth)

The majority of our patients are referred to us by their general medical or dental practitioners and specialists.

However NO REFERRAL IS NECESSARY to book an appointment with us.

Dr. Venkatesh Bhardwaj

Founder & Paediatric Dentist

Dr. Venkatesh Bhardwaj. or Ven as he is commonly known, is a specialist Paediatric Dentist. He completed his undergraduate training in dentistry (B.Dent Hons) in 2005 at the University of Sydney. For the next ten years, Ven honed his dental skills working across private practices in Sydney and Canberra. During this time he also worked as a clinical tutor to undergraduate students at both the Sydney Dental Hospital and Westmead Hospital. In 2015, Ven took up a position to commence specialist paediatric dental training at Westmead Hospital and Children’s Hospital, Westmead, which he completed in 2017. Following this, he established Macarthur Paediatric Dentistry in Camden and continues to work as a specialist at Westmead Hospital and Children’s Hospital, Westmead and gives lectures to undergraduate and post graduate dental students.

Apart from teeth, Ven is also passionate about reading and although his lifelong goal of being able to read 50 books in a year is yet to be achieved, his interest in reading has more recently sparked a desire to one day write a book. He is still trying to figure out what he would write about. His love of reading is often combined with his obsession with all things superhero – in fact, if speed-reading books (and minds) were a superhero power, this would definitely be Ven’s first choice!

Dr. William Tang

Paediatric Dentist

Dr Will completed his dentistry training in 2010 at the University of Sydney and later went on to do specialist pediatric training at Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital Westmead....Since finishing his specialisation in 2018, Dr Will has spent time as a visiting specialist across the Hunter New England region and working privately in Camden, Newcastle and St Peters.

Now, he joins team MPD with a special interest in helping anxious patients and attending to dental trauma.

Aside from teeth, Dr Will enjoys caring for his indoor plants, scuba diving, travelling and refining his taste in food and wine.

Michelle Harrison

Dental Assistant

Michelle has over 26 years of experience across the public and private sectors of the dental industry. Ten of these years have been working at the paediatric dental department at the Westmead... Centre for Oral Health with the last four years alongside Dr. Ven where they forged a strong working relationship. Outside of work Michelle enjoys spending time with her three children, going to the beach and shopping.
